elevenniversary
It’s the boy and I’s 11 month anniversary today. Yes, I know it’s dorky that we keep track of each month, I am sure that we will stop after a year (maybe). This morning we left each other with a hi-five and a “let’s make it a year”.
I had girl’s night last night. I went out with a friend and one of her friends who I’ve met before and really liked, so I was looking forward to the opportunity to meet her again. It was alot of fun. I mean, it of course went into, let’s talk about our boys, and we’ve all definitely had our share of problems so that’s never fun to remember, but it was really nice to get to hear other people say that what I went through/going through is hard and that it just takes time to heal. I know that’s what it takes and I know that with time none of the stuff that bugs me with matter and eventually I won’t have the trust issues from the lying incident, it just takes time.
Tonight I’m meeting up with some more friends to go lingerie shopping. A mutual friend is getting married in May and had a lingerie party lined up for 2 weeks from now, so we all figured it’d be more fun to pick stuff out together. I’m really enjoying getting to hang out with new girls and start building real friendships. It’s a little dangerous because they are all tied into the boy in one way or another, but they are really cool girls and I like them.
The boy has been really busy lately with school and work and it’s only going to get worse. I’m doing much better this semester, dealing with him never being around, than I was last semester, but it still kind of sucks when all I want to do on the weekend is relax and hang out with my boy, but he has to study all day. However, I really admire his drive and always pushing to learn more and do the best he can. It’s a good quality to have.
Tomorrow night we are going to see the Forgetting Sarah Marshall movie as a anniversary date. I’m really excited. It’s been a while since just the two of us have gone to a movie and we had a friend already see this movie at SXSW and said it was hilarious. It also has Veronica Mars (my biggest girl crush) and Marshall from How I met your mother. What’s not to like? Oh and the place we go to see movies is called Alamo Drafthouse and they are set up to serve food and drinks, so we’ll definitely have our chicken strip basket and pitcher of Dos XX. Yay!
And tonight… The Office! I love the office, I am so happy it’s back. Also 30-Rock. Last week’s wasn’t the best (still going to be the time they “flee to the Cleve”) but I always look forward to that show. And OMG Lost is back soon!! Next week I think. I am also excited about my guilty pleasure show, Samantha Who, and Desperate Housewives being back. Next Thursday is really the winner. Lost, Ugly Betty, Grey’s, The Office, 30-Rock, Scrubs, Lost. I’m in heaven. I may watch too much TV.
